What is happening with the public realm at Ontario Place?
The Ontario Place redevelopment project aims to create a beautiful and cohesive landscape across the site that seamlessly integrates the enhanced parkland and public spaces with the areas of the site that are being led by the tenants, Therme Canada and Live Nation. Once redevelopment is complete, the public will have access to the site year-round, and people of all ages will have something to enjoy, including public and event spaces, and free access to parkland and the waterfront.
Current status
Design work is underway and input from the public is a key element. Public engagement events were held on April 12, 2022, October 27, 2022 and April 27, 2023. Thank you to those that attended the public events and provided input for the recommended public realm design concepts and the environmental assessment process.
